- Sr. Visual Designers / Visual Designers
- Product Integrator
We are seeking exceptional Visual Design talent to be a part of our team. As a Sr. Visual Designer / Visual Designer, you would be working closely with the Visual Architect, Instructional Design Leads, the business development team, Technology Architects and Project Managers in crafting and strategising innovative elearning products.
The specific responsibilities you will be required to fulfil as a Sr Visual Designer (along with the knowledge and skills you will be expected to possess) have been outlined below:
Role specific:
- Produce static graphics, animations & interactivities as per the visual strategy, learning strategy, storyboards, graphics descriptions & the pre-production brief. Strong expertise in media graphics production
- You should have strong capabilities, skills and experience in interaction design and visualising innovative content presentation strategies meet and exceed client expectations, goals and objectives.
- You should be able to craft, architect and visualise innovative and engaging elearning products ranging from corporate, traditional, theme based to high-end game based courses.
- Other desired knowledge and qualities include Skills/experience in creating illustrations, sketches, infographics, designing icons, UIs etc. will be an added advantage.
- Should have relevant experience in elearning development methodologies, processes and practices.
- Knowledge and experience is mandatory in tools such as Flash (preferably with basic action scripting experience), Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, SoundForge, etc.
- Knowledge and experience of other tools like PageMaker, Corel Draw, 3DS MAX, Articulate, Captivate, Breeze, etc. will be an added advantage.
- Should have extremely good motor skills, illustration and sketching skills.
- Knowledge of Instructional design processes, adult learning principles and learning theory will be an added advantage.
- Work with Visual Architects in the calculation of the effort hour estimation for a given project.
- Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment.
Pre-sales:
- At the pre-sales level, you will be required to work with Visual Architects, Instructional Designers and Project Managers in developing Proof Of Concepts (POCs) and Prototypes.
- Constantly focuses and research changing Design trends, customer expectations and market drivers.
Account Management:
Throughout the life cycle of the project/s assigned to you you need to work in collaboration with the Visual Design team, business development and project management teams, to contribute to account management on an ongoing basis.
As part of your responsibilities for account management, you will be expected to:
- Communicating frequently and effectively with Visual Architects and internal team members to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are being fulfilled.
- Participate in the development and implementation of standards, documentation and processes to insure the final product meets our standards of excellence and consistency in terms of visual design integrity and the client’s expectations.
- Providing periodic status reports on all ongoing development in the projects.
- Effectively organise your schedule to ensure timely completion of all projects within the scheduled time frames and estimated effort hours.
Team Specific:
As a lead, one of your primary responsibilities will be the effective management of the resources in the Visual Design team.
As part of your responsibilities for team management, you will be expected to:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact in a professional, friendly and team-oriented manner with all company and client personnel. /li>
- As Visual Design Lead effectively manage resources assigned with you on your project. /li>
- Effectively organise schedules to ensure timely completion of all the Visual Design activities within the scheduled time frames and effort hours./li>
- Ensure optimal output with the required throughput from yourself as well as from resources assigned with you, while adhering to the timelines and stipulated effort hours (as arrived at during the generation of the effort hour estimation in collaboration with the PM)./li>
- Work towards the continuous self skill enhancement as well as that all team members through mentoring and training./li>
- Coordinate between the project manager and team members to ensure the smooth execution of a project
Others:
In addition to the above mentioned knowledge and skills, the following skills would be preferable:
- Ability to perform under pressure and maintain emotional composure under stress.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and events.
- Good organisational and operational understanding.
Education and experience
In addition to the above mentioned knowledge and skills, the following skills would be preferable:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in one of the following fields preferred: Fine Arts, Applied arts, Commercial art or any other similar degree.
- Qualifications or experience in Product Design, Visual Communication, Interaction design and Usability principles.
- Two - Five years experience as a Visual Design Lead or Visual Designer in an eLearning company.
